Forestry Walks
Audubon New York’s Rheinstrom Hill Audubon Center and Sanctuary is home to a forest demonstration project that started in 2012. Under the guidance of a Forest Stewardship Plan through Audubon New York’s Healthy Forest Initiative, the managed habitat and the birds and wildlife that rely on on it have thrived!
This summer, join our staff for a guided walk and talk through this 1,039 acre forest property, located in the southeastern corner of Columbia County!
Landowners will learn more about essential conservation and stewardship techniques that help improve bird habitat, control invasive species, and address how overabundant deer browse can threaten forest health. Register here.
Rheinstrom Hill Audubon Center and Sanctuary (225 Cambridge Rd, Hillsdale, NY 12529) Free event | RSVP required
